A Lotta Love is pleased to announce a $30,000 grant from The Women's Giving Network of Wake County. This grant will further Lotta Love's goal of creating dignified housing for North Carolina Families, women and children.
The mission and purpose of the Women's Giving Network from their website reads below:
"Since its launch in 2006 by a group of creative leaders, the Wake County Women’s Giving Network (WGN) has connected and mobilized the resources and talents of women seeking to learn about and positively impact critical needs of women and children in Wake County. Our mission is to maximize women’s leadership in philanthropy by engaging and educating our members, increasing charitable contributions, and strengthening our community through the impact of collective giving.
Members of the network commit to annual financial contributions for five consecutive years, pooling those contributions annually for the purpose of distributing grants to support nonprofit organizations serving women and/or children. A careful and collaborative grant review process culminates in an annual vote by Network members to determine grant recipients for the year."
A Lotta Love received this grant for its continued devotion to helping women and children's lives in Wake County. Because of this generous donation, Lotta Love is now able to redecorate the Wrenn House in Raleign, North Carolina, a shelter for Children 10-17 years old.
